Founded: In Paris, France in 1791; approved as a secular institute of pontifical right in 1952.
Purpose: To help diocesan priests live the Gospel in a radical manner in the modern world by means of vows, group discernment and support, meditation, and by seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
